Lathers gently and rinses clean without that tight, stripped feeling. Even my teenager, who complains about everything, likes it. Very happy, and I will be reordering.

The simplest bar in the range and the one people keep reordering. Twenty percent unrefined West African shea butter, superfatted so a share of it survives the rinse, and almost nothing else — no botanical extract, no clay, no colour, and only a whisper of essential oil.
Shea is the standard answer to skin that is dry, tight, cracked or reacting to everything: rich in stearic and oleic acids, naturally carrying vitamins A and E, and about as low-risk as a cosmetic ingredient gets. Unrefined shea keeps its faint nutty smell, which is how you can tell it has not been bleached and deodorised.
This is the bar for winter hands, children's skin and anyone whose face objects to fragrance. Cold-processed, cured four weeks, jute-wrapped, SLS- and palm-oil-free.

The bar is hard and dense, so it lasts weeks rather than days. It has completely replaced the shower gel we used to buy. Pleased I found this shop.
The jute wrapping is a lovely touch and it went straight in the compost. It has completely replaced the shower gel we used to buy. Five stars from me.
My skin has settled down noticeably since switching to this. I keep one by the kitchen sink and one in the shower. Will definitely buy again.
The bar is hard and dense, so it lasts weeks rather than days. Bought the three-bar pack as a gift and ended up keeping one. Exactly as described on the listing.

Does it dry the skin out?
Anita R. · 3 weeks ago
It's made cold-process with the glycerine left in, so it's gentler than most supermarket bars. If your skin is on the dry side, keep the bar out of standing water between uses and follow with an oil.

How long does one bar last?
Sofia L. · last month
Around four to six weeks with daily use, longer if it's kept on a draining dish rather than sitting in water.

Is it safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

We don't recommend starting any herbal supplement in pregnancy or while breastfeeding without speaking to your midwife or doctor first. Please take the ingredient list to them and follow their advice over ours.

How long does one pack usually last if I'm using it every day?
James H. · 3 months ago
It depends on your dose, but at the amount on the pack most people find a standard size lasts between three and six weeks of daily use. If you're using it occasionally rather than daily, expect considerably longer.

Mine lasted about a month using it most days, for what it's worth.
