Pomegranate seed oil is one of the more remarkable plant oils: around 70% punicic acid, a conjugated fatty acid found in essentially nothing else, and the reason it turns up in every anti-ageing formulation that can justify the cost of it.
This bar carries both the seed oil and pomegranate fruit extract, with a little rosehip for the same reason. It is the brightening bar of the range — for dull, uneven, tired-looking skin, and for anyone whose complexion has gone flat over a long winter.
The colour comes from the fruit extract and clay, not from dye, so it is a muted rose rather than a supermarket pink. Cold-processed, cured four weeks, jute-wrapped, and free of SLS, parabens and palm oil.

Does it dry the skin out?

It's made cold-process with the glycerine left in, so it's gentler than most supermarket bars. If your skin is on the dry side, keep the bar out of standing water between uses and follow with an oil.

Around four to six weeks with daily use, longer if it's kept on a draining dish rather than sitting in water.

Is the packaging recyclable?

The outer carton is card and goes in with your paper recycling. The inner pouch is kept airtight to protect the contents, so check your local authority's guidance for that part.
