No more supermarket soap
The bar is hard and dense, so it lasts weeks rather than days. The last sliver went in a muslin bag for the bath. Very happy, and I will be reordering.

The bar for people who already know what blackseed oil does for their skin and want it in something easier to use every day. Cold-pressed Nigella sativa oil is superfatted into the bar — added beyond what the lye can saponify — so a share of it stays as free oil on the skin after rinsing rather than being washed away.
Blackseed's traditional reputation is for eczema-prone, reactive and stubbornly dry skin, and this bar is formulated around that: minimal essential oil, no synthetic fragrance, and oatmeal for a soft, non-abrasive slip.
Dark, faintly peppery and unglamorous-looking, which is exactly right. Cold-processed, cured four weeks, jute-wrapped, SLS- and palm-oil-free.

Lathers gently and rinses clean without that tight, stripped feeling. It has completely replaced the shower gel we used to buy. Will definitely buy again.
Scented with real essential oil, and you can tell. I keep one by the kitchen sink and one in the shower. Perfectly decent, but I have had better value elsewhere for this particular herb.
The jute wrapping is a lovely touch and it went straight in the compost. It has completely replaced the shower gel we used to buy. Exactly as described on the listing.

Does it dry the skin out?
Dev K. · 3 weeks ago
It's made cold-process with the glycerine left in, so it's gentler than most supermarket bars. If your skin is on the dry side, keep the bar out of standing water between uses and follow with an oil.

How long does one bar last?
Rachel M. · last month
Around four to six weeks with daily use, longer if it's kept on a draining dish rather than sitting in water.

How long does one pack usually last if I'm using it every day?
Meera P. · 2 months ago
It depends on your dose, but at the amount on the pack most people find a standard size lasts between three and six weeks of daily use. If you're using it occasionally rather than daily, expect considerably longer.

Is this suitable for vegetarians and vegans?
Rachel M. · 3 months ago
Yes — it's a single plant ingredient with nothing of animal origin used in the product or the processing. The full ingredient list is on the Ingredients tab above.
