Just what I needed
The colour and smell told me straight away this was fresh. It dissolves without lumps, which the last one I tried absolutely did not. Slightly slower delivery than I expected, but the product itself is excellent.

Safed Musli is the vajikarana herb — the category Ayurveda reserves for tonics that build reproductive strength and physical endurance. The white tubers are harvested after the monsoon, peeled by hand, and dried whole; only the fully peeled, chalk-white grade goes into this powder, because unpeeled root brings a bitterness the classical texts specifically tell you to remove.
It is a saponin-rich root, sweet and heavy in character, and it behaves like a builder: taken with milk over a course of weeks rather than as a one-off. Athletes and manual workers in Gujarat and Rajasthan have used it as a strength tonic for generations, often alongside ashwagandha and kaunch.
Wild-harvested Safed Musli is now protected, so ours is cultivated on contract farms in Gujarat — same species, no pressure on wild stands.

The colour and smell told me straight away this was fresh. I take half a teaspoon in warm milk each evening and have done for two months. The only thing I would change is the packaging — a resealable zip would help.
Very finely milled — no grittiness at all when I mix it. The 250g pouch works out much better value than buying 50g repeatedly. Delivery was quick and it was well packaged.

I have bought this herb from four different suppliers now and this is the best of them. I take half a teaspoon in warm milk each evening and have done for two months. Will definitely buy again.
The colour and smell told me straight away this was fresh. My partner has started taking it too, so we are getting through it quickly. Fine product, though it is not really what I had assumed I was buying — my mistake rather than theirs.

Does it dissolve properly, or does it settle at the bottom?
Anita R. · 3 weeks ago
It's a milled whole herb rather than an extract, so some settling is normal. Stir it into something warm and drink it fairly promptly — warm milk or a smoothie works better than cold water.

I whisk mine into warm milk and it stays put long enough to finish the cup.

How strong is the taste?
Dev K. · 2 months ago
Honestly, quite earthy — that's true of the herb rather than of our version of it. Most people take it with honey, in milk, or blended into something with a stronger flavour of its own.

Do you ship outside the UK?
Nikhil S. · 2 months ago
We do, to most of Europe. Delivery cost and time are shown at checkout once you've entered an address. Some countries restrict certain botanicals on import, so it's worth checking your own customs rules first.

Is it safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Hassan A. · 3 months ago
We don't recommend starting any herbal supplement in pregnancy or while breastfeeding without speaking to your midwife or doctor first. Please take the ingredient list to them and follow their advice over ours.
