Lovely aroma, tiny amount needed
This smells like the actual plant, not a fragrance approximation. The 30ml size is far better value if you use it regularly. A genuinely good product at a fair price.

Carrot seed essential oil is one of the few genuinely prized skincare oils in aromatherapy, and it does not smell the way people expect: dry, earthy, woody-sweet, more root cellar than vegetable patch. It is distilled from the seed of wild carrot, not from the root, and contains carotol — the sesquiterpene alcohol behind its reputation.
Formulators reach for it for mature, sun-tired and uneven skin, usually at a low percentage in a facial oil alongside rosehip or apricot kernel. Its second traditional use is as a liver and lymphatic support oil in massage blends.
Worth noting: this is the essential oil, not the macerated carrot-in-sunflower oil sold under a similar name. A 10ml bottle of the real distillate goes a very long way at 0.5–1%.

You can tell immediately that this has not been cut with anything. I follow the dilution advice on the listing and have had no irritation at all. A genuinely good product at a fair price.
I blend my own oils and this has become a staple. The 30ml size is far better value if you use it regularly. Perfectly decent, but I have had better value elsewhere for this particular herb.
You can tell immediately that this has not been cut with anything. Two drops in the diffuser is plenty for a whole room. Delivery was quick and it was well packaged.
I blend my own oils and this has become a staple. I use six drops in thirty millilitres of coconut oil for a scalp massage. Will definitely buy again.
The amber bottle and drop insert are exactly right. I follow the dilution advice on the listing and have had no irritation at all. Very happy, and I will be reordering.

Can I put this straight onto my skin?
James H. · 4 weeks ago
No — it's undiluted, and it needs a carrier oil first. A few drops in a tablespoon of a carrier is the usual starting point, and patch-test on a small area before you use it more widely.

I dilute mine in sweet almond oil and it's been fine, but definitely patch-test first.

Is it pure, or blended with a carrier already?
Anita R. · last month
Pure and undiluted — nothing added. That's why a small bottle goes a very long way, and why it has to be diluted before it touches skin.

How long does one pack usually last if I'm using it every day?
James H. · 2 months ago
It depends on your dose, but at the amount on the pack most people find a standard size lasts between three and six weeks of daily use. If you're using it occasionally rather than daily, expect considerably longer.
HerbasenseOfficial answer· 2 months ago
Mine lasted about a month using it most days, for what it's worth.
