I blend my own oils and this has become a staple. I have blended it with lavender and the result is lovely. No hesitation in recommending it.

Everything cumin does in a kitchen it does more emphatically as a distilled oil: warm, earthy, sharply spicy, and unmistakable from the moment the cap comes off. Ayurveda treats jeera as a deepana-pachana herb — one that kindles digestive fire and helps process what is already sitting there — and the oil concentrates that action for external use.
The classical application is abdominal massage: a few drops in warm sesame oil, worked clockwise over the belly for bloating, heaviness and slow digestion. It also appears in warming joint blends for cold, stiff weather.
Cumin oil is mildly phototoxic and strong on skin, so it belongs at 1% or below. Steam-distilled from single-origin Rajasthani seed.

This smells like the actual plant, not a fragrance approximation. I follow the dilution advice on the listing and have had no irritation at all. Delivery was quick and it was well packaged.
You can tell immediately that this has not been cut with anything. Two drops in the diffuser is plenty for a whole room. Delivery was quick and it was well packaged.

The amber bottle and drop insert are exactly right. Two drops in the diffuser is plenty for a whole room. Delivery was quick and it was well packaged.
I blend my own oils and this has become a staple. I use six drops in thirty millilitres of coconut oil for a scalp massage. Very happy, and I will be reordering.

Can I put this straight onto my skin?
Hassan A. · 4 weeks ago
No — it's undiluted, and it needs a carrier oil first. A few drops in a tablespoon of a carrier is the usual starting point, and patch-test on a small area before you use it more widely.

Is it pure, or blended with a carrier already?
Nikhil S. · 2 months ago
Pure and undiluted — nothing added. That's why a small bottle goes a very long way, and why it has to be diluted before it touches skin.
HerbasenseOfficial answer· 2 months ago
Where is it sourced from, and is it tested?
Tom W. · 2 months ago
Sourcing is listed under Origin at the top of this page. Every batch is checked on arrival for identity and purity before it's packed, and we keep the batch records for each lot we sell.
