Very pleased
Well packed and sealed properly, which matters with this. The jar seals properly, which is essential for this. Perfectly decent, but I have had better value elsewhere for this particular herb.

Butea monosperma
Natural palas gum resin

Kamarkas is the gum of the palash tree — the flame of the forest — and its name tells you exactly what it is for: kamar means the lower back. It is the resin that goes into the postnatal ladoos made for new mothers across North India, alongside gond, dry fruit and ghee, and its traditional job is the recovery of the lower back and pelvis after childbirth.
Outside of postnatal use it is a warming, strengthening, astringent resin, used more generally for backache and for a body that feels loose or unsupported. It is also mildly haemostatic, which is part of why it appears in postpartum preparations.
Supplied as dark, hand-graded resin lumps. Roast it lightly in ghee before use — it puffs up and becomes crisp, which is how it goes into ladoos and how it is easiest to digest.

Clear instructions on the pack, which I appreciated. Have already recommended it to two people in my family. No hesitation in recommending it.
The traditional grade, which is surprisingly hard to source in the UK. I use it two or three times a week and have barely made a dent in the pack. Delivery was quick and it was well packaged.

A very small amount is enough, so this will last me a long time. I use it two or three times a week and have barely made a dent in the pack. A genuinely good product at a fair price.

How do I know I'm getting the genuine article?
Sofia L. · 3 weeks ago
Every lot is identity-checked against a reference sample before packing, and we keep the batch records. If anything about a pack looks off to you, send us a photo and we'll look into that lot.

How much should I use at a time?
James H. · 2 months ago
Start at the low end of the range on the Dosage tab above and give it time. More isn't better with this one.

How long does one pack usually last if I'm using it every day?
Ellie B. · 2 months ago
It depends on your dose, but at the amount on the pack most people find a standard size lasts between three and six weeks of daily use. If you're using it occasionally rather than daily, expect considerably longer.
HerbasenseOfficial answer· 2 months ago
Mine lasted about a month using it most days, for what it's worth.
